Become a Trustee

We have exciting, but challenging, plans to double the number of children we support between now and 2022; and made even more challenging by the COVID-19 crisis. If you would like to be part of a team that can make a real difference to children and young adults with special educational needs and disabilities, please get in touch.

While we have quite a full board of trustees at the moment, we are always interested in hearing from people who might be interested in joining the team!

  • Must be 16 or older

  • We are keen to talk to anyone that has charity, education/nursery, fundraising and or disability experience.

  • You should be passionate about making a difference to the  lives of the children and their families with special educational needs and disabilities and have about 2 hours a week to dedicate to the role.

  • Suitable candidates will be required to undertake a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check before their appointment is confirmed.

The role of Trustee is unpaid and requires applicants to commit to up to 2 hours each week, along with visits to the Play Scheme, which operates on the second and fourth Saturdays during term time.

By becoming a Trustee for Adur Special Needs Project you’ll be joining a friendly, positive team and will gain great experience of sitting on a management committee. You’ll be making a difference to the lives of local children and young adults with special educational needs and disabilities.
